Wetland Restoration and Creation
Delineation, modeling and development/restoration of wetland systems is a significant portion of our expertise.
Construction of large wetland systems for wildlife and bio-reserves is a hallmark of our practice. Several of our projects have been recognized:
- Bailey/Feidler Wetland Restoration was protected by the USFWS as endangered species habitat.
- Freidrich Bio-Reserve was recognized as trophy deer habitat.
Tasks included hydrological modeling, pool design, erosion control, geotechnical investigation, planting design, mass balance calculations, and long term management planning.
Using published and observed data to model the ebb and flow of natural and man-made drainage systems. Anthropic manipulation of natural systems require utilizing multiple modeling programs to accurately define the hydrology of a watershed.
Further, use of additional (current and historic) precipitation data are required to develop accurate predictions.
